Our Story: Journey to Franchising
In October 2018, Steven Shortino founded the first iSmash location in Rochester, NY, transforming a bold idea into a thriving reality. Inspired by a viral video, Steven saw the potential for a Rage Room where people could safely and joyously release their stress. From the very first day, the response was overwhelmingly positive, and the business saw rapid growth. Throughout 2019, iSmash continued to gain momentum, establishing itself as a local favorite for those seeking a unique and exhilarating experience. However, like many businesses, iSmash faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Forced to close for nearly four months, Steven used this time to remodel and enhance the facility, leading to a successful re-launch in July 2020 with even greater customer enthusiasm.
